Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso NDC Move
Why are many people asking whether Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso could move beyond ADC politics?
My view: if such a political realignment happens, it will likely be about one thing — building a broader national coalition strong enough to challenge the current power structure in 2027.
It may not be about party names alone. It could be about:
• stronger grassroots structure
• wider regional acceptance
• negotiating power
• a clearer electoral path
And if that conversation becomes real, the people likely to matter most won’t just be politicians.
The real backing would probably come from:
• frustrated young voters
• grassroots mobilizers across the North, South-East, South-West and Middle Belt
• reform-minded political stakeholders
• civil society voices demanding credible leadership
In Nigerian politics, movements are rarely built by emotion alone.
They are built by structure, alliances, timing, and public momentum.
If Obi and Kwankwaso ever move in the same direction politically, it could become one of the most important opposition calculations ahead of 2027.
The bigger question is not whether politicians will align.
The bigger question is whether Nigerians will unite behind competence, structure, and a clear national direction.
2027 may not just be about parties.
It may be about who can build the strongest coalition of trust.
